The problem
A Calcutta auction prices golfers by gut. Everyone has a feeling about who is due, and the feeling is usually worth less than the bid.
What I built
A single-page app over the Data Golf API that pulls current rankings and tournament odds, applies a fame premium so crowd favourites are priced for what the room will pay rather than what the model says, and shows a fair value for every player before the auction starts.
